It is only few days before the winner of the Uutisraivaaja contest will be announced. The finalists have developed their concepts since March, and now you can enjoy the results. Watch the finalists’ presentations, and you’ll see the variety in projects and fields, and a ton of great job done!
Tuomariston valitsemat kymmenen ideaa pääsivät Uutisraivaaja-kilpailussa jatkoon. Uutisraivaajilla on aikaa elokuun alkuun asti jalostaa ideaansa eteenpäin. Sitten he demoavat projektiaan tuomaristolle, joka valitsee kilpailun voittajan tai voittajat. Tässä jatkoonpääsijöiden esittelyt suomeksi niiltä osin, kun pitchit ovat suomeksi. Kaksi joukkuetta valmistelee projektiaan englanniksi. Seuraavassa postauksessa kaikki esittelyt englanniksi.

Miksi toimittajan kannattaa osallistua Uutisraivaaja-kilpailuun? Pari päällimmäistä syytä: Voit vaikuttaa journalismin tulevaisuuteen kehittämällä uutta – kenties sellaista, joka parantaa tiedonvälitystä Egyptin vallankumouksen kaltaisissa uutistapahtumissa. 1. Tilaisuuden avaus Helsingin Sanomain säätiön puolesta tervetuloa. Tämä on jotain uutta säätiön historiassa, koska olemme järjestäneet tämän kilpailun ja investoineet siihen 350 000 euroa. Kilpailun voittaja saa 250 000€ kehitysrahaa. Tämä seminaari on kolmas Uutisraivaajan historiassa ja siitä olemme iloisia: teemme jotain mitä muut säätiöt eivät vielä ole tehneet. Toivotan kaikille onnea ja menestystä…
