This is the first blog post from infogr.am team, one of the Uutisraivaaja finalists. We’ll be sharing our experience and challenges of building data visualization tools for online journalism. In this first blog post we focus on what good things infographics and visualized data does for online media and a brief history on infogr.am.
Edessä on tyhjä taulu. Se on oven kokoinen. Kun astun lähemmäs, huomaan, että se ei ole tyhjä, vaan täysi. Täynnä peukalon pään kokoisia valkoisia numeroita, jotka on maalattu järjestyksessä ja niin tiheään, että ne puoliksi peittävät toisensa. Tulee outo tunne, mutta sanat puuttuvat. Kuvataiteen kritiikistä on puhuttu viime päivinä enemmän kuin aikoihin. Oikeastaan kritiikin käsittely…
Liian usein lapset sivuutetaan, ei vain tiedonvälityksessä, vaan elämässä yleensä. Vaikka kaikki tiedämme, että lapset ovat järkeviä, kekseliäitä, hauskoja ja uteliaita uudelle, jätämme lapset uutisten ulkopuolelle.
